Evelyn H. Levin

Evelyn H. Levin, 95, of Plainfield, passed away December 25, 2016 at Cumberland Trace in Plainfield. Born February 25, 1921 in Indianapolis, Evelyn was the daughter of Harry and Flora (Litz) Christ; her parents preceded her in death. On July 27, 1941 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Alvin T. Levin and he also preceded her in death.

Evelyn was proud to be a homemaker for most of her life; she was also a sale associate at L.S. Ayres for several years. A true homemaker, Evelyn enjoyed sewing and taking care of family. She was a faithful member of New Life Community Church in Mooresville.

She was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Marjorie Gunnell, June Thomas, and Harriet Reichert.

Survivors include her two daughters, Diana (Martin) Biza of Austin, Texas, and Donna (Jim) Reed of Plainfield; her brother, Harry Christ of Vale, Oregon; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Evelyn H. Levin on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery.
