Evelyn Pruitt, 80, of Wilbur, died December 6, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on March 22, 1931, in Terre Haute, to the late Arthur and Goldie (Fiscus) Campbell.
Evelyn married Leonard Pruitt on July 1, 1950. She was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Evelyn was a kindhearted homemaker who enjoyed raising children, gardening, and cherished spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Pruitt; siblings, Charles Campbell, William Campbell, Virginia Freeland, Geneva Bryant; son-in-laws, Doug Smith, John Miller.
Survivors include her children, Karen Miller of Martinsville, Angela Jo Kaiser of Wilbur, Richard Pruitt of California, Randy Pruitt of California, Cindy Blundell-Toole (Andy) of Monrovia, Darrell Pruitt (Jill) of Brooklyn, Lisa Smith of Martinsville, Beth Ann Perkins (George) of Paragon; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., on Saturday, December 10, 2011, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011. Cremation will follow the service at the Morgan County Crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Shumaker Cemetery, Eminence.
