Floyd C. Duncan, 91, longtime Mooresville resident, passed away peacefully at home March 30, 2019. Mr. Duncan was born August 19, 1927, in Patricksburg, Indiana, to the late Edward and Margaret (Arney) Duncan.
A man with an incredible work ethic, Floyd was employed as an electrician at Allison’s for 46 years, retiring in 1999. During his retirement years, he enjoyed working at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse for 19 years. This part time job worked aligned appropriately with his loyalty to the Indiana Pacers. Floyd was a member of the former Mooresville Church of God for more than 50 years and more recently attended Camby Community Church. He found time to relax periodically with his family on various camping trips. Floyd will be fondly remembered by his loving family and the community of Mooresville, where he gave of his time quietly as a member of the Lions Club for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Duncan; and one sister, Juanita Morlon.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Wanda (Perry) Duncan; sons, Thomas (Margaret) Duncan of Indianapolis and Andrew (Kim) Duncan of Brownsburg; brother, Donald (Sharon) Duncan of Terre Haute; sisters, Vera Keller of Texas and Dorothy Loveall of Illinois; grandson, Yuri (Jill) Duncan; granddaughter, Marlo Duncan and Madison Brown.
The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, Thursday, April 4, 2019, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with calling there from 10 a.m. Pastor Charlie Paxton will officiate, and burial will follow in Peavey Cemetery, Clay County.
