Fonda L. Campbell

Fonda L. Campbell, 82, of Clayton Indiana, passed away July 31, 2017 peacefully at home. Fonda was born February 23, 1935 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Alexander and Viva (Wagner) Allison; her parents preceded her in death. On January 22, 1954 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Gus J. Campbell.

Fonda spent many years working for Ypsilanti Savings as a teller until she retired in 1985. She attended Ypsilanti Church, Ypsilanti, Michigan, and later Town Center Church, of Mooresville, and she enjoyed working with the children in their Sunday school classes. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed doing puzzles and cross words. Her main hobby was collecting light houses. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Lynn Randolph and sister, Brenda Willford.

Survivors include her husband, Gus J. Campbell of Clayton, Indiana; children, Linda Sue (David) Adler of Galdwinn, Michigan, Kenneth Ray (Sue) Campbell of Belleville, Michigan, Terry William (Judy) Campbell of Clayton, Indiana, Vicki (Greg, Sr.) Sawmiller of Southgate, Michigan; sisters, Anita (Lynn) Stephen of East Jordan, Michigan and Candy Sutherland of Charlotte, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Fonda L. Campbell from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Town Center Church in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
