Gayle Lutman Thober

Gayle Lutman Thober, 63, Mooresville, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2013, in Destin, Florida. She was born October 8, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Darrell Elwood Lutman and Elizabeth Marie Robinson.

Gayle graduated from Waite High School. She was a faithful member of the Springhill Christian Center in Mooresville. A very active person, she worked locally as a massage therapist. She enjoyed the water and loved traveling to the beach. Gayle was intrigued by lighthouses and also found joy in reading. Her biggest fans were her grandchildren and her young canine companion, Daisy. Gayle attended many of the sporting events and chauffeured the kids back and forth practices. She will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and many friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell “Rusty” Lutman; sister, Sherry Scheanwald.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Johnson (Ken) of Mooresville, and Cameron Scott Thober of Lawrence; sisters, Marcia Macey of Woodlands, Texas, and Sandy Hickey of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Hailey, Hanna, Holleigh, and Kyler Johnson, Ashley, Carson, Brooklyn, and Aiden; many loving nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Springhill Christian Center, 12150 N. Rooker Road, Mooresville. Calling will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at the church. Pastor Mark Wright will officiate the services. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
