Glen “Dan” Stout
76, of Mooresville, passed away on January 10, 2021 at Cumberland Trace, surrounded by his family. Glen was born on December 5, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Glen P. Stout and Aileen (Chambers).
Dan retired in 1989 after 21 years of service as a firefighter with the Indianapolis Fire Department. He married the love of his life, Dianne (Parsley) Stout on March 13, 1964 and they were married for 49 years, until her passing in 2013. Together they had three children, Tammy, Kenny and Scott. Dan was active in coaching his kid’s youth sports teams in his younger years. Later in life he enjoyed spending time in Florida and living there for a few years, before moving back to Indiana to be closer to family. His was known to have a sweet tooth and to have a private stock of Milky Ways, Twinkies, and Ding Dongs whenever he needed to satisfy his sweet tooth cravings.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dianne (Parsley) Stout.
He is survived by his daughter Tammy (Clint) Ping; sons, Kenny (Tammy) and Scott (Lori) Stout; brother Dave Stout; sister Pam O’Donald; and “Papaw Dan” to Jessica Ping, Alexis Porter, Macy Mitchell, Sidney Stout, Andrew Hiester, Chloe Stout, Arie Hiester, Aidan Hiester, Keaton Stout, and Ian Stout.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13th from 12-2pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with services beginning at 2:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment. You are also invited to watch the services via live stream on the Carlisle Branson Facebook page.
