Gloria Anne Wright

Gloria Anne Wright, 82, Avon, former longtime Irvington resident, passed away March 6, 2023, at The Gathering Together in Plainfield.  Mrs. Wright was born October 22, 1940, in Indianapolis.  She was married to the late Wilbur “Bill” Wright, who preceded her in 2017.

Gloria graduated from George Washington High School, Indianapolis IN and attended the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA.  It was while working for a group of orthopedic surgeons that Gloria’s gift for interior design was tapped.  She became responsible for redecorating the offices and eventually the homes of many of the doctors.  She became the owner and operator of Wright Interiors.  She was an antique dealer and enthusiast most of her life.  She also was very knowledgeable with jewelry from the Victorian to Art Deco era.  Gloria and Bill enjoyed many retirement years in Florida before returning to Indiana several years ago.  

Gloria is survived by several nieces and nephews, Daniel A. (Beth) Brock, III, Dale Richards, Jana (Frank) Womack,  Gaynell  (Charles) Love, Joseph (Julia) Brock, Suzie (Edward) Freeman, and Katie Williams.

She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by Parents, William and Iva Ruth Case,    Husband Wilber, Brother, Daniel A. Brock, Jr, Sisters: Margaret Fleetwood and Louise (Richards) Pierce. Nieces and Nephews David Richards,  Robert M. Brock Diane McMurtry

All are invited to attend the Memorial Mass which will be offered on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 11 a.m., in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1200 N. Indiana Street, Mooresville. For those who unable to attend the funeral service, the service will be streamed on line at www.stm-church.org .  Then, click on “Streaming”

There will be a celebration of life in Gloria’s honor on April 30, 2023 at the home of Daniel and Beth Brock 3280 Vestal Road, Plainfield, IN .
