Gordon Spoon, 50, Mooresville, died suddenly September 5, 2013. Gordon was born April 4, 1963, in Indianapolis.
He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1982. Gordon worked for Nice Pak, but most recently was the manager of the garden center at Lowes in Greenwood and at the 10th Street location in Indianapolis. He had a natural green thumb and loved growing plants. Gordon enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and all kinds of animals. He was active with the Sheltie Rescue of Indiana. Recently, Gordon had honed a new talent and became an accomplished artist.
Survivors include his loving life partner, Rick Desjarden; parents, Mickey and Shirlee (Ross) Spoon of Mooresville; siblings, Teresa Thomas of Indianapolis, Robert Spoon of Brownsburg, and Dora Harmon of Reelsville; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Friends and family will gather on Monday, September 9, 2013, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. A Celebration of Gordon’s life will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in the funeral home.
