Gregory V. Pease
47, of Mooresville, passed away on July 24, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Greg was born on February 8, 1973 in Norfolk, VA to the late Richard V. Pease and Alma (Tackett) Pease, who survives.

A longtime resident of Mooresville, Greg graduated from Mooresville High School. He worked as an appraiser for State Farm Insurance Company for over 23 years. Greg enjoyed cars, whether it was building them, racing them or playing his guitar. However, he loved his family and loved coaching in the Mooresville Junior Football, Basketball and Baseball leagues. He was a long-time board member of the Mooresville Junior Football League, even continuing to serve on the board of the league, after his kids were done playing. He loved the kids and remembered each player and parents by name, what team and what year they played. His leadership and mentorship will be greatly missed and leave a large void in the Mooresville athletic community.

He is survived by his wife Ashlee (Buis) Pease; children Jordan and Tyler Hammons; mother Alma (Tackett) Pease; sister Rhonda Phillips and host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29th from 3-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. He will be cremated following the visitation and a celebration of Greg’s life will be held at a later date.
