Hannah Laughman Denney, 98, Plainfield, died May 25, 2012, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mrs. Denney was born April 8, 1914, in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, to the late John Addis and Blanche (Gibboney) Goff.
She worked for several years as the head of housekeeping at Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Denney was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. In addition, she was very talented and enjoyed all kinds of crafts, including gardening, sewing, and quilting. She will be missed by her loving family and fondly remembered for her great pies and cakes.
Mrs. Denney was preceded in death by her first husband, George E. Laughman and second husband, Merle Denney; son, Ralph Laughman; brothers, Roger and Robert Addis; sisters, Leona Addis and Evelyn Tipple.
Survivors include her son, George J. Laughman (Doris C.) of Plainfield; daughters, Sharon Linder of Plainfield and Karen Bingham (Larry S.) of New Madison, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and a host of great great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday, May 27, 2012, 3 to 7 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
