Henry Charles Remster, 83, Camby, died March 20, 2014, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mr. Remster was born August 20, 1930, in Madison, Wisconsin, to the late Homer and Beatrix (Murphy) Remster.
He was employed for over 30 years at the Allison Division of General Motors as a job setter, retiring in 1981. Mr. Remster was a member of the Mooresville American Legion Post 103 and the United Auto Workers. Mr. Remster enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was a talented carpenter. Above all, he loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Remster was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Donna Jeanne (Decker) Remster; brothers, Robert, Wayne, William, Richard “Dickey”, and James Remster; sister, Frances Covey.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Elaine Trusty of Fillmore and Nancy JoAnn Fine of Martinsville; sister, Dorothy Calhoon of Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
