Herman L. Scott

65, of Mooresville, passed away on January 7, 2020 at IU Bloomington Hospital. Herman was born on March 15, 1954 in Mooresville, IN to the late Josh Scott and Lucille (King) Scott Horne.

Herman was a hardworking man who dearly loved his family. He retired from Ray’s Trash company after a long career on his birthday in 2016. He was never one to sit idle, as he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, working on cars, monster truck rallies and tractor pulls. In his younger years, he enjoyed driving in demolition derbies. In retirement, he continued to stay busy working odd jobs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Josh Scott, Jr.
He is survived by his son Josh Scott; daughter Rebecca Scott; brothers Dallas Scott, Rick Scott, Hershell Scott; sisters Connie Runyon, Bonnie Clevenger, Brenda Poe, Loretta Hamilton, Cynthia Dowell, Kathern Geralds; 2 grandchildren Ethan and Emma.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 13th from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will be Tuesday, January 14th at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery.
