Hilda M. “Carole” Baker
89, of Cloverdale passed away on February 7, 2018 at Putnam County Hospital, surrounded by her family. Hilda was born on May 21, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Dallas J. Wright and Dorothy B. (Cottingham) Brooks.
Hilda loved her family, her pets, fishing, reading and listening to music. She also enjoyed computers in particular, her tablet and watching “The Voice” and Fox News on television. She worked for Eli Lilly & Company, IGA and Nice-Pak in Mooresville and most recently at L.S. Ayers in downtown Indianapolis, before retiring.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Baker Jr.; her foster parents, Irvin G. Antrim and LuLu E. (Fleener) Antrim; brothers, Eugene and George Antrim; and a sister, Marie (Antrim) Campbell.
She is survived by her sons; Donald Baker of Martinsville, Richard Baker Sr. of Mooresville, Jack Baker of Cloverdale, daughters; Nancy Sichting of Greenwood, Kathie Wampner of Mooresville, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Services are private.
