Hilton L. “Bud”/ “Stew” Stewart
79, of Indianapolis, passed away October 12, 2018 at Eskenzai Hospital. Bud was born on June 11, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harry Stewart, Sr. and Gertrude (Palmer) Stewart.
Bud was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After service, Bud returned to Indianapolis, where he worked as a machine operator at Link Belt/ Rexnord for many years until his retirement.
Bud was a private man, who loved to spend time with his family especially out at the family farm, where many memories were made together. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and participating in various charity rides. He was a member of the American Legion and ABATE. In more recent years, he was a fixture at the Waffle House on Lynhurst and the Continental Grill family restaurant on corner of Washington and Holt Rd, where he made many friends with the staff and the regulars. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Charles Stewart, Mary Graham, Patricia Adams, George Stewart and Harry Stewart, Jr.
He is survived by his brother; Carl (Anna) Stewart, sister; Carol Cope, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In accordance in Bud’s wishes, he will be cremated and a time to celebrate Bud’s life, will be held at a later date at the family farm.
