Ida Alice Sprinkle, 98, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home December 21, 2018. Mrs. Sprinkle was born September 5, 1920, in Indianapolis, to the late Edward Lee and Mary Jane (Rapilee) Henry.
She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. She had a tremendous work ethic and worked at the Allison’s during World War II. Ida worked as an inspector at Harmon Motive for fifteen years. She also sold Avon while her children were being raised. Ida loved children and was always a strong motivator for young people. She was a long time member of the Brooklyn Order of the Eastern Star and served two times at worthy matron. She will be fondly remembered by a loving family for her elegance and love for life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hiser Fields; brothers, Edward Lee and William Henry; sister, Carolyn Stoehr.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Jean (Tadd) Morgan, Pamela Gale DeFeo, Vicki Lynn (Teresa) Fields, Karen Rae Perdue, and Floyd Eugene Fields; grandchildren, Melina Morgan, Jason Morgan, Ashley Martin, Allen Vanett, and Kristina Aleksa; great grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Macy, Dawson, Morgan, Garrett, Heather, Michelle, Jake, Logan, Zachary, and Grant; great great grandchildren, Presley.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, 4 to 8 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Cemetery.
