Jack David McClain

July 14, 1927 - July 14, 2008 Jack David McClain, 81, Carmel, Indiana, passed away on his 81st birthday July 14, 2008. He was born on July 14, 1927, in Shelbyville, Indiana, where he graduated from high school in 1945. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II. During his career, he held a variety of positions mostly in Shelbyville and Little Rock, Arkansas, among them as Shelby County Treasurer. He was a member of the Indianapolis Scottish Society, and being a McClain, loved anything from Scotland and England. His faith was always an important part of his life, starting with the Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville. In Little Rock, he was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for several decades. In May of 2005, he married Janet Aldrich McDonald and made St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis his new church home.
