Jacquelyn Lee Devers, 82, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away on December 5, 2020 at home. She was born on March 31, 1938, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to the late Paul and Esther Miller.
Jackie moved to Plainfield, Indiana to raise her son and daughter and that is where she met her husband, Ralph. Once they were grown Jackie and Ralph moved to Bonita Springs, Florida, and spent many years running a successful lawn maintenance company and supply store. Upon retirement Jackie and Ralph enjoyed many years together residing in Arkansas until Ralph’s passing. For the past 20 years Jackie has lived in Plainfield, Indiana with her daughter and son-in-law, while also staying very close to her son and his family in Bonita Springs. She loved to do crafts and bake with her grandkids and great grandkids; and was always ready to go with them to enjoy activities such as movies, the zoo and other festivities such as their school programs. She was affectionately known to them all as “Mimi”.
Survivors include her son, Rick (Robin) McLaughlin; daughter, Terry (Dan) Rumley; sister, Sandy (Ed) Alexander; stepmother, Jewell Miller; grandchildren; Joshua (Erin) Rumley, Nicholas (Patience) Rumley; Linda (Brian) List; and 8 great grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Esther Miller; her husband Ralph Devers; and a sister Carol Morelock.
