James A. “Jim” Price, 55, Mooresville, passed away at home on October 31, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. James was born October 11, 1967, in Greencastle, to the Renos Price and Charlotte (Sherfield) Clark, who both survive.
James grew up in the Spencer area and attended Owen Valley High School. Armed with a strong work ethic, a passion for the outdoors, and fascination for heavy equipment, James became a well-respected and accomplished heavy equipment operator. He worked for JDH Construction for many years. He enjoyed restoring old tractors, especially John Deeres and being around the farm. He would jump at any opportunity to help his good friend and his dad on the farm – he was content working. He also loved to deer hunt, racing derby cars, and working with mini-rod tractors. James never met a stranger and was always thinking of others. He will be fondly remembered for his outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Tammy (Duncan) Price, to whom he was united in marriage April 20, 1996; daughter, Madison (Christian) Neitzel; father and step-mother, Renos and Vicky Price; mother and step-father, Charlotte and Howe Clark; brother, Brad (Keri) Price; sister, Teresa (David) Beach; step-siblings, Jeremy Smith, Howe Clark III, Heather Gayhart, and Susan Cassanello.
