James Day

James Day, 54, of Greenwood, passed away suddenly August 24, 2021. James was born August 24, 1967, in Indianapolis, to Thomas Sr. and Nancy (Light) Day.

James started working at 17 years old for Pollard Electric for 18 years. He went onto running his own electric company, Days Electric, for over 20 years. He was a member of The American Legion in Mooresville. James always enjoyed nature and being in the outdoors. Any chance he got, he was going camping and taking care of his garden and house plants. James loved and adored his 3 boys and grandson. He would always put his family first. James did all kinds of activities with his kids whether it be riding horses, going through caves, and working on houses. James is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Day Sr.

Survivors include his 3 sons, James Day, Jr., Joseph Day, Tim (Joshua Burr) Day; and mother, Nancy Day; sister, Violet (Tim) Spears; brothers, Alvis “Al” (Rochelle) Day, Tommy, Jr.; and grandchild, Nicholas Day.

James’ Life Celebration® visitation and funeral service will be held at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 E. High St., Mooresville. Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2021, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., service will follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to the Mooresville American Legion.
