James E. Davis
85, of Mooresville, passed away May 15, 2017. James was born on March 18, 1932 in Milton, West Virginia to the late James Everett and Beulah Irene (Powell) Davis.
James worked for Blenko Glass in West Virginia for many years before opening his own studio “Magic of Glass”, where he made specialized pieces of paperweights as well as birds and fruit. He was an amazing artist!
He also had a huge heart for animals of all kinds and was known to take in cats and dogs. He was particularly fond of his dogs; Kidd, Andy, Heidi, Cissy, Candy, Coco and Grand Doggies.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Cooper) Davis, daughter; Nita Lawless Davis and her husband Bob, daughter; Barbara Bullard and her husband Donnie, son; Michael Davis, a brother; Chubby Dean Davis and his wife Elfriede, four grandchildren; Chastity, Nathaniel, Christopher, Elijah and three great grandchildren; Brittney, Hannah and Holly.
A memorial service for James will be held Saturday May 20th at 4:00pm, with calling from 2pm until time of the service Saturday in Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
Additional services will be held Saturday May 27th at 3:00pm in Jones Mortuary in Redkey, Indiana.
