James Edward O’Connor, age 44, of Mooresville died May 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born on February 17, 1970 in Indianapolis.
James was a major music enthusiast who played the guitar and drums. He played in several bands and was well known in the musical community. He was gifted at repairing electronics and enjoyed riding his dirt bike. He loved children, he had a large heart and was generous to those close to him. He will be greatly missed by many who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Dorothy O’Connor of Mooresville; his four siblings, Tom O’Connor ( Andrea) of Waverly, Cindy Bond ( Jason) of Mooresville, Andy O’ Connor ( Megan) of Carmel, and Paula Lecher ( Alvin) of Elizabethtown; his Godparents, Danny and Louis O’Connor of Greenfield; his Godson, Zac Sherron of Katy, Texas; his two uncles, Don Wade of Odon and James Wade (Ruth Ann) of Bloomington; his two aunts, Helen Wade of Odon, and Agnes Wade of Washington. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and many close friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville on Thursday at 12:30 P.M. with Father Mark Gottemoeller as celebrant. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the start of mass at church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
