James H. Simpson, 91, Waverly, passed away June 24, 2016. Mr. Simpson was born December 31, 1924, in Hendricks County, to the late Arthur Edwin and Goldie Ethel (Lehr) Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was a lifelong farmer and also co-owned Simpson Brothers Trucking with his late brother, William. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and was a member of the Glenns Valley Conservation Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard, and William Simpson; sisters, Betty Dunham, Helen Johnson, Cora Griffith, and Mabel Conrad. Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, 5 to 8 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
