James Hollin

68, of Mooresville, passed away after a long battle with lymphoma, surrounded by his family on December 27, 2017. James was born on January 2, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ottis Hollin Sr. and Ethel (Smith) Nixon

James worked as a molder for Glass Container for 17 years, before retiring in 1985 when the plant closed. James loved his family very much and enjoyed riding his scooters around town. Though he never had children of his own, he considered his niece Angela as his own daughter.

He is survived by his sister; Pam Nixon, niece; Angela Mahafzah brother; Ottis Hollin Jr. and many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with visitation from 12noon until time of the services. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
