James “Jim” E. Crowe Jr., 73, of Patricksburg, Indiana passed away on September 27, 2022. Jim was born in Martinsville, Indiana to the late James E. Sr. & Betty Ruth Crowe on November 20, 1948. Jim married the love of his life, Ila on April 4, 1977. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. Jim was a proud US Army Veteran and Retired from Crane Naval Weapons Center in 1990. He loved to spend time in the mountains of Tennessee with his family. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting and was an avid gun enthusiast. He spent much of his time coaching baseball, basketball, and football when his children were younger. Many days he could be found fishing and telling his grandkids stories by the fire. Jim was a dad and papaw to everyone, not just his own. If you were fortunate enough to know Jim, you were proud to call him a friend.
Jim is survived by his loving wife; Ila Crowe, children; Kristi (Matt) Riley, Chrissy (Greg) Fulk, and Billy (April) Crowe, and grandchildren; Brad (Jess), Devin, Lindsey, Jennifer (Chandler), James (Sarah) Jake, David and Bri, great-grandchildren; De’Andre, Aria, Ezra and Oliver, siblings; Jerry (Nancy) Crowe, Roxanne (Steve) Bain, Penny Sue Daniels and Lugenia (JR) Blondell and best friend; Tim Allen.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 11:00am-1:00pm. Jim’s Life Celebration® will be immediately following in the funeral home.
