James “Jim” Forrester, 74, of Mooresville, passed away suddenly May 6, 2021 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. Jim was born February 27, 1947 in Maryville,Tennessee to the late Robert and Lida (Crook) Forrester. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cathy Hunt, on March 6, 1971.
Jim had a strong Christian faith and was a member of Full Gospel Church, Mooresville. Jim graduated from Berean Bible College and preached at many churches through his life. He enjoyed writing Christian songs and playing them on his guitar.
Jim worked many years as a welder retiring in 2009. After retiring he enjoyed doing lawn care with his son Aaron for about 8 years. His biggest pride in life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jim is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joann Carson, Robert Forrester, and Florence Littel.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Cathy; children, Aaron (Rhonda) Forrester and Kim (Steve) Bailey; grandchildren, Brittany, Stephany, and Nathan; brothers, Raymond (Evelyn), David (Alice), William (Teresa) and Thomas (Kathy) Forrester.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 11, 2021, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Spring Hill Christian Center, Mooresville; service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Church. Pastor Mark Whobrey will officiate.
