James L. Embry, 63, Mooresville, passed away December 31, 2016, in Franciscan St. Francis Health, Indianapolis. Jim was born November 30, 1953, in Marion, to Paul and Patricia (Smith) Embry, who both survive.
He graduated from Eastbrook High School and worked at various places of employment as a manufacturing engineer. Most recently, he worked at Roark Welding & Engineering and also did contract work with Rolls Royce. Jim loved sports and was an avid I.U. and Yankees fan. He enjoyed being outdoors and was especially happy when he was fishing or playing golf. Jim’s memory will be cherished by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Jayetta (Davis) Embry, to whom he was united in marriage September 6, 1980; parents, Paul and Patricia Embry of Upland; brother, William Embry (Dawn) of Upland; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
Friends and family will gather Wednesday, January 4, 2017, 4 to 7 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, in the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Alexander will officiate. Following cremation, burial will be in West Newton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Kidney Association.
