James M. “Jim” Boles, Sr., of Mooresville, passed away March 27, 2019. Jim was born October 26, 1945, in Friendswood, Indiana to the late Homer and Dorothy (Palmer) Boles.
James worked for Allison Gas & Turbine for many years retiring in 1993. He had a strong Christian faith. Jim was always a role model to his children. Jim was a kind man and was known to have never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and coaching little league baseball. A loving husband, father, grandfather; he is going to be greatly missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son and a granddaughter Cassandra.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Melody (Burnside) Boles of Mooresville; children, James M. (Lisa) Boles, Jr., Beth L. Boles-Manuel of Plainfield, Eric L. (April) Boles of Ninevah, Indiana, and Bradley T. (Angel) Boles of Mooresville; brothers, David (Tyna) Boles of Plainfield, Ronnie (Shirley) Boles of Pittsboro, and Jerry (Patty) Boles of Plainfield; grandchildren, Sydney, Brody, Jordan, Vonda, Suzanna, Ally, Zachary, Kayden, Makaila, Abigail, Mackenzie, Brealee, Destiny, Brandon, and Faith; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019, 3 to 6 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with the service following at 6 p.m..
