James N. Page, Sr., 97, Mooresville, died December 9, 2012. He was born October 12, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James N. and Mary (Sweeney) Page.
Mr. Page dedicated many years to the railroad company. He worked for Indiana Harbor Belt, New York Central, and retired from the Penn Central Railroad. James was a hardworking, dedicated employee who directed all the yard operations across the country. He was a talented golfer and enjoyed playing golf during any free time. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel “Kay” (Billinger) Page, to whom he was united in marriage on November 26, 1936; brother, John Page; sister, Marion “Mickey” Macaully.
Survivors include his children, Pam McAdoo of Mooresville, Lynn Barks (Paul) of Mooresville, and James Page (Rose) of Omaha, Nebraska; brothers, Edward Page of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Robert Page of Chicago, Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from noon. Burial will take place in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Father Mark Gottemoeller will officiate the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
