Janelle Jane Grider, 28, Mooresville, entered into eternal life on September 6, 2017. Janelle was born June 23, 1989, in Greenwood, to the late Michael Stanley Grider and Susan (Bryant) Scott, who survives.
Janelle attended Decatur Central High School and worked in housekeeping, alongside her sister Jenny, for several years. Janelle was an accomplished artist and a very creative person. She enjoyed music, singing, flowers, styling hair, and was a great cook. Janelle was a kind and helpful person who will be fondly remembered for her generous ways. She would do anything for anyone – generous to a fault. Although she did not have her own children, she loved her nieces and nephews like her own. Janelle will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charlene and Clifford Grider and her maternal grandfather, Rev. William J. Bryant.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Susan and Clyde Scott; siblings, Jenny R. (Trenton) Golden, Michael W. Grider and Blake D. Nelson; step-siblings, Aaron (Darcie) Scott and Adam (Leah) Scott; maternal grandparents, Lovetta Rose and David Ard; nieces and nephews, Mason W. Golden, Jaden Marks, Jocelynn Marks, McKenzie Grider, and Alexis Grider.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Janelle Jane Grider on Monday, September 11, 2017, 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in Apostolic Faith Church, 474 W. Highland St., Martinsville. Burial will follow in Liberty Christian Cemetery, Martinsville.
