Janice C. Singer, 77, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 1, 2017. Mrs. Singer was born September 8, 1940, in Indianapolis, to the late Walter and Kathryn (Burnett) Cottongim.
She graduated from Clayton High School and attended Fort Wayne Bible College. Mrs. Singer worked for more than 20 years as the school secretary at Mooresville Christian Academy and was also part of the founding school board. She later worked for Polley’s Perfect Season for several years and was also instrumental in the formation of Eastern Morgan County Rural Water. Mrs. Singer was a faithful member of Calvary Church in Plainfield. A talented photographer, she also enjoyed scrapbooking, cross stitch, and quilting. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a younger brother, Ronald Cottongim.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Singer, to whom she was united in marriage September 21, 1963; sons, Mark Alan (Pamela) Singer and David Aaron (Patty) Singer; brother, James Cottongim; three grandchildren, John-Ryan (Jennifer) Barnett, Amanda Rachelle (Michael) Stuckey, and Kayla Jo Singer; ten great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017, in the chapel at Carlisel – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017, in Calvary Church, 1290 S. Center Street, Plainfield. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery.
