Jerry Morgan Fowler
86, of Plainfield, passed away May 14, 2017. Jerry was born February 28, 1931 in Nocona, Texas, to the late Chester and Mary B. (Roberts) Fowler.
Jerry honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy for 21 years. After service, he worked for Dairy Lea and Code Enforcement in Long Island, NY and more recently at the Elks Golf Course in Plainfield, so he could spend more time around the game that he loved.
He also was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Plainfield, a member of AMVETS, the Masonic Lodge and served on the Board of Directors for the Glen Haven Neighborhood Association.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister Mary, brothers Cecil Doyle, Floyd, Raymond and Donald Fowler.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia E. (Conti) Fowler, daughter Jo-Ann Bould, sisters; Shirley Lovell, Wanda Joy Smith, sister in law Roberta Ambler. grandchildren; Jerri Lynn (Gregg) Bould. Clifford Fred (Jennifer) Bould Jr., five great grandchildren; Brandon, Clifford, Justin, Alexander, Daniel and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday May 22nd at 10:00am in St. Mark's Episcopal Church 710 E. Buchanan St. Plainfield, IN 46168.
