Jimmie R. Ridenour, 74, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Franciscan St. Francis Health, Mooresville. Born July 1, 1943 in Stella, Missouri, Jimmie was the son of Ray R. and Dorothy M. (Gailey) Ridenour; his mother preceded him in death. On December 20, 1969 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Diana Ridenour; she preceded him in death on February 1, 2007.

Jimmie and his family moved to Indiana in 1984. He worked as an electrician for many years in Kansas and in Indiana. In Dec. 2006, Jimmie retired from the IBEW Local 481. He was a faithful member of Gasburg Baptist Church in Mooresville. Jimmie enjoyed southern gospel music and had the amazing talent of identifying the year, make, and model of any older car, especially Chrysler and Ford products. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Jimmie’s memory will be cherished by his family and a host of friends.

Jimmie was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Wayne Ridenour and his sister, Sandra M. Thompson.

Survivors include his father, Ray R. Ridenour of Brownsburg; two daughters, Laina Lynn Ridenour of Mooresville, and Melissa J. (Ryan) Phillips of Monrovia; his brother, Ryan R. (Michelle) Ridenour of St. Johns, Michigan; two sisters, Janet K. (Rodney) Lewis of Indianapolis, and Peggy L. (Mark) Creviston of Danville; his brothers-in-law, Jim Thompson and Tim P. Grove; sister-in-law, Kristi (Matt) Holmes; and two grandchildren, Chloe and Caden Phillips.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Jimmie R. Ridenour from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Gasburg Baptist Church. Pastor Jack Elliott will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
