Joan K. Littell, 71, Mooresville, died suddenly August 4, 2014, in the Emergency Room at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon. Mrs. Littell was born August 15, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late William and Genevie (Dossett) Lenz.
She graduated from Lebanon High School. Mrs. Littell was the owner and operator of the David W. Littell Insurance Agency for years. She retired from State Auto in 2013. She was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Littell was a determined lady who enjoyed sewing, shopping, and scrapbooking. She was known for often saying that she never felt older than 19, and consequently had a motto of being “Forever 19”. Above all, Joan was devoted to her family and loved to watch her grandchildren play softball and ride horses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Littell, who died in 1969.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Littell (Rebecca) of Mooresville; step-son, William “Skip” Littell (Cathy) of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Jeanne Fraser (Scott) of North Carolina; brother, Jerry Lenz of Lebanon; sisters, Janet Spears of Lebanon, and Judy McIntyre (Roger) of Louisianna; granddaughters, Katelyn Marie and Holly Rebecca Littell; step-grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, and Joshua Littell.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
