John A. Enstrom, 82, Indianapolis, died September 28, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. John was born July 6, 1929, in Hymera, Indiana, to the late Harry and Cecilia Enstrom.
John graduated from Hymera High School and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for various companies over 53 years as a bricklayer and was a member of Local Bricklayers’ Union #3. John was also a member of the American Legion Post #711.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Tom and Sonny Enstrom; sister, Myrtle Runyon.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Doris (Perry) Enstrom; sons, John Enstrom of Mooresville and Chris Enstrom of Mooresville; daughter, Carla Neuhausel of Plainfield; step-son, Orval Lebo of Martinsville; step-daughters, Arleen Crawford of Gosport and Billie Jo Lebo of Texas; brothers, Bill Enstrom of Jasonville, Scott Enstrom of Hymera, and Skip Enstrom of Hymera; sisters, Jane Mills of Anderson and Linda Stewart of Farmersburg; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2011.
