John George Seubert

July 24, 1937 — March 4, 2018

John George Seubert, 80, Camby, passed away March 4, 2018. John was born July 24, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late John and Marian (Brefol) Seubert. He married the late Judith Mae (Eubanks) Seubert on August 1, 1959. Appropriately, the devoted couple are reunited eternally.

John graduated from the University of Cincinnati receiving his Chemical Engineering Degree. He worked for the Crane Naval Weapon Support Center as a civilian contractor, testing ammunition for the United States Navy, retiring in 1988. He was dedicated to the Catholic Church. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 50 years. He had many tasks that he accomplished for the Bloomington Knights of Columbus such as scanning records into the computer system dating back to 1906; he also served as Past Grand Knight. Mr. Seubert had many hobbies he enjoyed such as gardening, planting trees, bingo, and playing cards. He also liked to watch IU and Colts games, but he never forgot about his home town teams- the Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds. John also enjoyed mechanical puzzles, making puzzles and treasure hunts for his family when it came to Christmas and birthday gifts. John’s sense of humor and surprises will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, John R. Seubert; a daughter, Joy D. Seubert; and brother-in-law, William Granan.

Survivors include his son from Illinois, James G. (Susan) Seubert; four daughters from Indiana, Jacquelyn M. (Donald) Fuller, Julie A. (John) Noel, Jennifer L. (James) Thomason, and Jill E.(Robert) Allen; two sisters Lois A. Granan of Pennsylvania and Linda M (Dan) Goodall of Ohio; twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
