John Mark Miller, 63, Indianapolis, passed away with his wife, Linda Swetnam Miller, October 1, 2018. He was born February 17, 1955, in Indianapolis, to the late John H. and Edith M. (Newsom) Miller.
Mark graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1973. He worked as a custodian at the Wayne Township Schools for 25 years. He also managed the Pizza Hut on West Washington Street for 14 years. Most recently, he was employed at Cash America Pawn. Mark was a proud and loyal member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723. He was also an avid gun and knife collector. Mark was an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church and officiated at weddings. He also loved to play Santa during the Christmas season and took full advantage of his white beard. Mark will be remembered for his proud, yet humble, nature and for his generous spirit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Miller.
Survivors include sons, Joseph (Sidney) Stallsworth of Mooresville and John Charles (Jennie) Miller of Brownsburg and Brandon Lee McDaniel; brothers, William (Terri) Miller and Walter (Sharon) Miller; sisters, Jenny (Hans) Spikerman and Tamara (Ken) Kooken; grandchildren, Rhyse Stallsworth, Kelsey Hatton, and Jordan Miller; great grandchild, D.J. Whitley.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the lives of Mark and Linda Miller on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, 4 to 6 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. An opportunity to share memories will be offered at 6 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to come prepared to share your favorite memory about Mark.
