John N. "Bud" Redmond
94, of Mooresville, passed away May 6, 2018 surrounded by his family. Bud was born on May 30, 1923 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Raymond and Florence (Becker) Redmond.
Bud was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II. He married the love of his life, Mary (Record) Redmond on November 17, 1950 and celebrated their 67th Anniversary in 2017. Bud was a researcher for Eli Lilly and Company and retired after 30 years of service in 1983. In his spare time, he enjoyed staying busy always helping lend a hand to someone in need. Whether it was helping with mowing, trimming, going on Mission Trips or volunteering for the Red Cross, his presence will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Stout and Martha Kerr.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary (Record) Redmond; son, Mike (Norma) Redmond; daughter, Rhonda Adams; grandchildren, Renee’ (Vadim) Gvozdetsky, Reanna (Dan) Harrell, Blair Adams, Royce Redmond; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Nora Harrell and Maksim Gvozdetsky.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Crown Hill Cemetery.
