John Ruben Clark, 88, Indianapolis, died peacefully at home October 31, 2013. Mr. Clark was born May 28, 1925, in Brooklyn, Indiana, to the late Roy L. and Dorothy (Johnson) Clark.
He attended Mooresville High School and proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111 and the American Legion Post #64 in Indianapolis. A member of Teamsters Local #135, Mr. Clark worked as a truck driver for Interstate Trucking for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Summers) Clark and his brothers, Lewis, Asa, James, Fred, and Howard Clark.
Survivors include his daughter, Rose M. Hackler (Chuck); son, Patrick Clark; grandchildren, Stephen, Kevin, Stephanie, and Jack Clark; Kendric and Benjamin Hackler; great grandchildren, Lance, Talia, and Alyssa Clark, and Amelia Hackler.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013.
