Johnnettia M. Huber
84, of Camby, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 23, 2022. Johnnettia was born to the late Leroy & Viola Eckert on August 12, 1937 in Birdseye, Indiana. Johnnettia attended Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. She retired from the Community Hospital Network after a long career in Medical Records. She had a work ethic like no other and raised her children while working 2-3 jobs. She was disciplined and organized. Her kids even called her “Sarge”! Johnnetta had a great sense of humor, she was caring, loving and generous to others. She enjoyed shopping and had quite the shoe collection. As she got older Johnnettia spent more time cooking and quilting.
Johnnetta is survived by her children; Robert (Amy) Grubbs and Sherri (Lonnie) Cochran, grandchildren; Treva and Lucas, along with her siblings; William (Linda) Eckert, Diane (Gary) Lowe and Mary (Carl) Neiswinger.
Johnnettia is preceded in death by her loving husband; William Huber, son; Jerry Lee Grubbs Jr., grandson; Christopher Cochran, along with her siblings; Albert Eckert, Irene Warner, Tiny Cox, Dolly Newton and Elise Wise.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral Services will be immediately following in the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Waverly, Indiana
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in honor of Johnnettia to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home.
