Joseph Daniel "Joe" Strachan

Joseph Daniel “Joe” Strachan, 22, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis after succumbing to injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred on Friday, March 3, 2017. Joe was born in Indianapolis on September 21, 1994 to Mark L. Strachan and Jenee D. (Wilson) Strachan.

Joe was a 2014 graduate of Mooresville High School where he participated in Track and Wrestling. He was currently employed at R.T. Moore Mechanical Contractors in Indianapolis while also attending trade school. A dirt bike enthusiast, Joe enjoyed racing and was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. Always giving of himself to others, Joe was able to perform his final selfless act by becoming an organ and tissue donor to those in need.

A loving, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Joe is survived by his father and step-mother, Mark L. Strachan and Patricia Huber Strachan of Camby; his mother and step-father, Frederick A. and Jenee Oldfather of Mooresville; his sister, Joanna M. Strachan of Camby; two brothers, Jonathan L. (Courtney) Strachan of Martinsville, and Jacob W. Strachan of Indianapolis; maternal grandmother, Diana M. Hall of Mooresville; maternal grandfather, Jerry D. (Senora) Wilson of Greenfield; four nieces and nephews, Dakota, Emery, Malarie, and Rowyn Strachan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of close friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Joe Strachan on Monday, March 13, 2017 in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
