Joyce J. Allen

Joyce J. Allen, age 81, of Mooresville, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL., passed away Friday, April 17, 2015. Born December 10, 1933 in Decatur, IL, she was the daughter of the late Marvin K. and Lydia M. (Arney) Wren. Her husband, Bob Allen; her brothers, Robert and Charles Wren; her sister, Billie Jo Perkins; her daughters, Jackie Webb and Carol Stahl and her son, Bobby Allen also preceded her in death.
Joyce was retired from the Mooresville School System where she worked in the High School cafeteria for 20 years. She also was a member of the VFW, Eagles and Moose Lodges in both Mooresville and Port Charlotte.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy Towles and Kathy Schweitzer; her son, Lloyd Allen Oliver; her brothers, Donald Wren and David Wren; her sisters, Judy Schuman, Doris Mathias and Jackie Hendron; along with her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with calling to begin at 4:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
