Juanita F. Blacklidge, 85, Indianapolis, passed away March 30, 2017, in Cumberland Trace, Plainfield. Mrs. Blacklidge was born June 9, 1931, in Bainbridge, to the late George and Versie (Wilson) Osborne.
She graduated from Ben Davis High School and was a proud homemaker. Juanita was a former member of Zion Christian Church. She loved dogs, especially her Bichons, and also enjoyed traveling the country in the family motorhome. She also enjoyed crafts – making baskets and pottery. Above all, Juanita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be fondly remembered by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Blacklidge; son, Stephen Blacklidge; brothers, Everett, Vernon, and Warren Osborne; sisters, Dorothy Woodall, Clarice Osborne, and Anna Huble.
Survivors include her son, Dan Blacklidge (Kathy) of Mooresville and daughter, Nancy Swinford (Warren) of Mooresville; brother, Wayne Osborne of Brownsburg; sister, Vie Smoot of Avon; four grandchildren, Amy, Chad, Danny, and Todd; fourteen great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
