Judith A. Roberts

Judith A. (Bowles) Roberts, 76, Indianapolis, passed away September 6, 2018. Judy was born April 10, 1942, in Indianapolis, to the late Russell Dale and Kathleen (Mundy) Duhamell.

She graduated from Decatur Central High School and worked in the graduate program at the Indiana University School of Nursing for 37 years, retiring in 1998. To keep busy, she later worked at the IUPUI Natatorium and at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. When her children were growing up, Judy was a Cub Scout leader at Mt. Gilead. Her home on Kitchen Road in Mooresville was the “neighborhood hub” for her children and all of their friends; she was affectionately known as “Mom” to many. Judy’s caring and loving personality will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Scott Roberts.

Survivors include children, Tricia (Wayne) Burdette, Steve Snodgrass, and Kathy (Mark) Butler; sisters, Mari Lou Sechman, Shirley (Ron) Reagan, Linda Merritt, and Sandra (Clyde) Rigdon; grandchildren, Matthew (LeeAnn Adams) Jones, Jimmy (Heather) King, Brittney (Andy) Swisher, and Cody King; great grandchildren, MacKenzie King, Kaitlin King, Mason King, Lumen Swisher, and Hadley Swisher.
