Judith Ann Woodruff, 72 of Indianapolis, passed away July 6, 2016 at Indiana University Hospital West in Avon. She was born May 14, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Claude R. and Virginia A. (Neff) Craig. On October 19, 1962 Judy was united in marriage to her loving husband, Vernon J. Woodruff; he survives.
Judy enjoyed playing Tripoli and Euchre with her fellow card club members and was an avid bowler for many years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister she enjoyed her work as a homemaker for so many years.
Along with her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by twin brothers, Jack E. and Joe E. Craig.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Vernon; two sons, Vernon J. Woodruff, Jr. (Debra) of Indianapolis and Eric A. Woodruff (Sara) of Aurora, IL; four brothers, Claude R. (Pat) Craig of Lawndale, NC, Lawrence W. (Ellen) Craig of Indianapolis, Garry A. (Judy) Craig of Indianapolis and Mike D. (Kim) Craig of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Beverly J. (Gary) Ray of Mooresville, Tina M. (Doug) Minneman of Indianapolis and Toni G. (Jim) Cheek of Avon; three grandsons, Korey Woodruff, Andrew Woodruff and Seth (Suzy) Woodruff; and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Cameron Woodruff.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
