Judy Lee Pepin Parsons, died on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Springs of Mooresville.
A beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt too many. Wife to Larry Parsons. Third child to Louis and Johana Pepin. Survived by her last siblings Darlene Brothers and Loretta Affinito. Loving mother to Jennifer. Bonus mother to Lorraine, Beth, and Jennifer. Grandmother to Emily and Shaun. Bonus grandmother to David, Jason, Rachel, Rocky, CJ, Jenni, Nicole, Jessica, Cameron, and Caila. Bonus great grandmother to Noah, Kaitlyn, Jada, Ellie, Sophie, Lilly, Rowan, Leah, Trent, Luca, Madison, Miranda, Audra, Waylon, William, Victoria, Hendrix, Sikai, and Kiani
Born on February 21, 1947 in Los Angeles CA. Resided in Hawthorn CA, Livingston CA, Redondo Beach CA, Cypress CA, Lake Havasu City AZ, Prescott AZ, and Mooresville IN. Seventy – seven years of a life well lived and traveled.
Educated in Hawthorn CA school systems. Married young and had her only child, Jennifer, at age 22. Also witness to her first grandchild, Emily, being born. Later babysitter of Emily while second grandchild, Shaun, was being born.
Judy started off as home maker and a stay-at-home mom. Later she owned and operated a liquor store. Judy worked at Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo CA where she met Larry. She worked part-time at Prescott AZ Walmart in the gardening department as well as fabrics.
Judy’s passions included sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, and loved knitting slippers. She sowed her grandchildren cloth books. She also loved to cook. Judy was a real-life soup Nazi and would share with everybody. She also like to garden and grow her own peppers and tomatoes. And was famous for her ham gravy and pigs in a blanket.
Judy was well traveled. Taking an Alaskan cruise with her sisters and mother. Many camping trips to northern California and Oregon. Later spent much time camping in the white mountains of Arizona. She loved to fish with family and friends. Most of all she loved visiting her daughter and grandchildren in California as well as her sister’s visiting Judy in Indiana.
Judy attended The Church of Christ in Mooresville IN as well as Redondo Beach CA. She took great pride in helping others. Those who were sick received some of Judy’s famous soups. Her passion for cooking was shared at many potlucks.
Judy’s list of accomplishments is long. She was a great listener and always made you feel better after talking with her. Judy was warm, kind, generous, and accepting of others, never judgmental. She will be missed by many.
Judy’s earthly remains will be cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time. Carlilse – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
