Julia C. Floyd
97, of Mooresville, passed away on January 1, 2018 at Washington Health Care. Julia was born on January 7, 1920 in Helena, Montana to the late Henry Knotts Barnard and Bertha Elva (Wilkie) Barnard.
She married her husband Max James Floyd Sr. on June 6, 1936 and were married over 40 years, until Max’s passing in 1976. She was a loving wife, mother, “GG” and great-great grandmother to her family and will be greatly missed! She was also members of the Gasburg Baptist Church in Monrovia, IN and Grace Baptist Church in Middletown, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son; Max James Floyd Jr. and his wife; Deloris, brothers; William Webster Barnard, Henry Knotts Barnard, Earl Wilkie Barnard, Robert Lee Barnard and a sister; Elizabeth “Peggy” Flick.
She is survived by her daughter; Janet A. Spencer and her husband Ray of Waynesville, Ohio, a sister; Ruth Darling Cox of Linton, IN, grandchildren Cheryl Richards, Mike Spencer, Tammy Burris, Rhonda Wilkinson, Lorie Dillon, Eric Floyd, 19 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 8th at 12noon at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with visitation from 10am until time of the services. Burial will follow the services in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield, IN.
