Kaitlyn Fulkerson, 15, Camby, died September 15, 2011, in the Emergency Room at St. Francis Hospital, as a result of a pulmonary embolism. She was born January 11, 1996.
Kaitlyn attended North Madison Elementary School and was a sophomore at Mooresville High School. She enjoyed cheerleading and was involved in cheering until just recently at The Legends Cheer Academy. Kaitlyn will be remembered for her fun, outgoing, and loving personality. She was a gifted student and could light any room with her beautiful smile and fun spirit.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, David Fulkerson.
Survivors include her parents, Nancy and Brad Fulkerson; brother, Jonathan Fulkerson; sister, Hannah Fulkerson; maternal grandparents, Charolet and James Goff, Sr. of Indianapolis; paternal grandmother, Sylvia Fulkerson of Camby; aunts and uncles, Carla and James Goff; Jeff Thomas, Angie Thomas, Chris Fulkerson, and Matt Fulkerson; cousins, Britnee and Bradley Goff; eight additional first cousins and a host of loving extended family members.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday, September 18, 2011, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Mooresville High School in the South Gymnasium (please enter door 8). A funeral service to celebrate Kaitlyn’s life will begin at 2:30 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2011, in The Church at Mt. Gilead, 6019 East State Road 144, Mooresville. Revs. Jeff Faull and B.J. Bungard will officiate. Burial will follow in West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kaitlyn Fulkerson Memorial Scholarship, c/o The Community Foundation of Morgan County, 250 N. Monroe Street, Mooresville, IN 46158.
