Karen K. Clifton
84, of Mooresville, passed away on May 12, 2024 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Karen was born on October 4, 1939 in Fayetteville, West Virginia to the late, Verl Norris Akers and Sadie R. (Allport) Akers.
Karen worked for AT&T in West Virginia, before relocating to Indiana, where she was a secretary at Mooresville High School for 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and attended the First United Methodist Church in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronald “Buck” Clifton, and a son Edward Clifton.
She is survived by her daughter Terri Clifton; grandson Brandon Doulaki, and his wife Heather, a great-granddaughter Aria; brother James "Jimmy" Akers of West Virginia; sister Linda Cottrell of Ohio, and best friend, Jan Emerson.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 24th at 3:00pm in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made in Karen’s memory to a favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
