Karen L. (Park) Halcomb

61, of Mooresville, IN, formerly of Terre Haute and Brazil, passed away on April 19, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Karen was born on July 10, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Kenneth Park and Carolyn (Lester) Carter, who survives.

Karen graduated from Indiana State University and enjoyed a long career as an Accountant. She worked for Stadler & Co. in Terre Haute for many years and later for herself. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, camping and traveling, most recently to Las Vegas. Her family will remember her as a good Christian woman, wonderful daughter, mother, sister and grandmother to her family. Although she was fierce and driven, she also had a heart of gold that would help anyone that needed help. She will be greatly missed by all!

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Michael L. Park.

Survivors include her daughters Brittney Phillips (Shannon Barger), Crystal Graham (Scott Graham); mother Carolyn Carter; six grandchildren Skylar Reitsma, Cheyenne Reitsma, Mark Archer, Hunter Phillips, Kenadie Phillips, Eli Phillips and good friend and boyfriend, Bill Milton. The family would also like to acknowledge her former husband and good friend Rob Halcomb; Aunt Vickie Barnes; special friends Brenda Covey, Sandra LeBlanc, Joyce Phillips and the St Francis Hospice Team for their wonderful love and support shown to Karen.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4-8pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, IN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00pm in the funeral home, with Pastor Terry Crist officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN.
