Karen Sue Willis, 66, of Camby, Indiana and formerly of Canton, North Carolina, passed away during the early morning hours on August 17, 2017 at her home. Born in Sullivan, Missouri on October 26, 1950, Karen was the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Nellie L. (Higginbotham) King; both of her parents preceded her in death.
Karen was a homemaker for most of her life and worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years. A woman of great faith, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Waynesville, North Carolina. Karen’s faith and church meant everything to her; as an active member of her beloved church, she played a key role in creating the church library. A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Karen’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving family, and her beloved church family at Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Susan E. (Bobby) Qualls of Camby, Indiana, Sandra L. (Mark) Crawford of Waynesville, North Carolina, Rebecca L. (Andrew) Boney of Campisano, Italy, and Robert H. (Yolanda) Willis of Bunnlevel, North Carolina; her brothers, Harry Linthicum of Anchorage, Alaska, Richard Linthicum of St. Louis, Missouri, Ron (May) King of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Bryan (Cheryl) King of St. Louis, Missouri; and 11 grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Karen Sue Willis from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August, 21, 2017 in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville, Indiana.
